About us

Synoxis Algae is a start-up in the biotechnology field. It’s a spin-off of a company in the plastics processing industry called Synoxis. This company was asked several times to build cultivation systems for microalgae. It allowed them to develop for 15 years an expertise in the microalgae sector. After a collaboration with the IFREMER and the University of Nantes, Synoxis developed its own equipment. The success of their photobioreactors made them develop their subsidiary in 2018: Synoxis Algae.

Our photobioreactor LUCY is the first of its kind. No other company has the SALT technology in its microalgae cultivation system.

04. Customer satisfaction

Synoxis Algae designs its photobioreactor NANO, LUCY and JUMBO on the basis of design thinking. This method of reflection and design centered on the user made possible the development of tools accessible to every professional (laboratories, hatcheries, aquariums, formation centers….)
